6/8/18
2017/18 In Review Your Soledad Aztecs made history this year with the accomplishments of all sports combined!
This is the first sports year in school history that there was a league title won in each season! Football won the MTAL Mission, Girls Basketball won the MTAL Mission, and Baseball won the MTAL! Big congrats to those Aztecs!
This year, we had 540 registered athletes! Of a school that sports just over 1,400 students, that's HUGE! We supported 13 sports programs with many levels of competition. Football, Cross Country, Girls Volleyball, Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer, Boy Wrestling, Girls Wrestling, Track and Field, Swimming, Baseball, Softball, and Boys Volleyball!! This count also brings in our Cheer and Dance squads.
Moving into the new era of the PCAL (Pacific Coast Athletic League), we will be split up into equity divisions so that the best competition can be established for the betterment of the sports' programs to improve. There are up to five possible divisions that are created. The Gabilan (will be considered the "A" league for most sports), the Mission, the Cypress, the Santa Lucia, and the Arroyo Divisions.
